Hey, I'm Justin, a digital painter and writer based in Richmond Virginia.
Let me take you back a bit. I didn't always get to wake up every day to make cool art. Nah, I was knee-deep in the dark stuff—battling depression, dealing with a failed relationship, and just unsure about what I wanted to do with my life. I just felt lost...
So there I was, feeling like I needed a spiritual makeover, FAST. Art, my old flame, seemed like the perfect opportunity for some soul-searching. Fast forward to 2016, and I made a bold move—I quit my job to chase my dream of selling art full-time. Scary? Hell yeah, But I couldn't ignore my heart.
Books became my lifeline, especially ones on African spirituality and self-improvement. They weren't just words on paper; they were my guiding stars, infusing every line and stroke with meaning and purpose.
Nowadays, my art isn't just about pretty pictures—it's about resilience, empowerment, and celebrating the beauty and strength of Black culture and spirituality.
